Granita is an Italian drink or sorbet, a (slowly) frozen mixture of fruit, water and sugar. During the freezing process it is continuously mixed and crushed, resulting in very small ice crystals, which give a very pleasant taste to the drink.

Traditionally, granita is made with fruits; however, variants with coffee also exist.
